Overview
Kontractually is a subscription-based SaaS platform. This policy explains your rights when cancelling a subscription and under what circumstances refunds are issued.
1. Cancellation
You may cancel your Kontractually subscription at any time from your account Settings page under Billing.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You retain full access to your account and all features until that date
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
- Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion
There are no cancellation fees or penalties.
2. Refunds — Monthly Plans
Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period once payment has been processed. If you cancel, you will not be charged for the next billing cycle, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Exception: If you experience a verified technical failure that prevented you from accessing the platform for more than 72 consecutive hours during a billing period, you may request a pro-rated credit. Contact us within 14 days of the incident.
3. Refunds — Annual Plans
Annual subscriptions are eligible for a pro-rated refund if you cancel within the first 30 days of the subscription term. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
To request a refund on an annual plan within the 30-day window, contact privacy@kontractually.com with your account email and the reason for cancellation. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
4. Free Trials
If a free trial is offered, no payment is taken during the trial period. Cancelling before the trial ends results in no charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan will be charged on the date shown at signup.
5. Disputes and Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. Most issues can be resolved quickly at privacy@kontractually.com. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account suspension pending resolution.
6. Australian Consumer Law
If you are located in Australia, you may have additional rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the ACL that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by contract. Kontractually will comply with all mandatory obligations under the ACL.
7. UK and EU Consumer Rights
If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Union, you may have statutory cancellation rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or EU Consumer Rights Directive. These rights apply to individual consumers only; business-to-business subscriptions are not subject to these statutory rights.
Note: Kontractually is a B2B platform. If you are signing up on behalf of a business, these consumer protections do not apply.
